... of unsuspecting hikers. We stayed at the overlook for probably about an hour before heading back to the car. The hike out seemed easier, if not a little more slippery on the way down the hill. In the parking lot, two Big Horn Sheep were licking something on the ground literally feet away from our car. We loaded up and headed back down the hill, we stopped by West Glacier for some groceries and gas before returning to camp after quite a long ...

... and nice and hospitable...and they make GREAT BEER. They don't distribute east of the Missisippi yet, so that explains why we didn't know much about them. We had a sampling flight (FREE) and then purchased a six pack of Moose Drool to take with us in our cooler. A good night's sleep and we hit the road early again. We had planned to stay the next night at another Harvest Host site- Flathead Lake Winery- ...

I decided that I wanted to try to go to St Mary's from Browning and maybe find some lunch in St Mary's. On ...

... and that’s a skill! They all seem eager to help you and excited to make sure you have a good experience at the park. And many of them have been doing this for years (the newsletter they give you when you enter the park had a roster of rangers who have been here over 40 years!). The ranger I spoke to this morning recommended two fun hikes, then when she realized I was a little stressed out about the bears she took ...

Decided to do a hike with a ranger today as they are free and it means we don't have to worry about coming across a bear as we know we will be in safe hands. Chose the 10 mile hike to Iceberg Lake as thought it would be good to do a long one. There were 8 of us in the group so not too many and the ranger was a lovely graduate who was ...
