      The next morning we drove into Wilmington. I had read that downtown Wilmington had a pretty nice atmosphere and we were not disappointed. We walked around Front Street and the Pier and enjoyed North Carolina for the first time since we had entered it.       Lovely marina, good place to stop. We were late leaving Caspers Marina (Swansboro). after oversleeping due to the long previous day of motoring along in the rain.       ... came through and blew my tent over -_-. I got out of the car and charged to my tent to try and stake it down but by that point it was already wet... When the rain stopped we got out of the car and somehow magically the fire was still alive. we sat around hoping to dry off and eventually the night ended in discomfort.
