It was only once we got close to Portland that we saw any snow at all and there it was only deep in the bush. But shortly after we stopped for the night the snow started. It looks like we got about 3" overnight. Luckily we're heading south! Had great Chinese food last night. Who knew we'd find it in Maine! Here's what morning looked like - winter ...

We got talking to the lady about how we'd been hoping to see snow . She suggested if we drive inland about ...

... FICTIONAL book, the woman kept questioning the poor guide re the book and why rooms were in the wrong place and querying the integrity of her high school English teacher. At different times in the tour the guide asked if we had any questions and we all cringed as we knew who had all the questions.... intermingled into her questions were her attempts to demonstrate her in depth knowledge of the history of the area, which felt more like an attempt to trip the ...

      A missed opportunity

... it would not be safe to try and make landfall in Portland with the Emerald Princess. We would instead enjoy a day at sea in which the Capitan would take us around the storm.

So on the day that we would spend in Portland we would enjoy a day at sea rolling among the waves on the outskirts of the ...
