    ... I arrived 5 hours later at The Emerald Forest in Trinidad and checked into my adorable little cabin. I fell in love. It was so cozy and I loved being right in there with the trees. I've uploaded a little video to show you. I tell you, I did NOT want to leave this morning.     ... We also stopped at Fort Bragg to grab a cup of coffee and check out the glass beach. The glass beach was formed due to mass dumping of used glass bottles/containers into the ocean. After years of smoothing from the waters, the small glass particles wash up on the shore. Unfortunately the beach was pretty dirty and there was mass construction surrounding it so we did not stay long.

    ... the mechanic in Medford didn’t reveal much, other than that the likely culprit is the fuel pump on the bike, (some sort of intermittent electronic failure). Beyond that, the shop there didn’t have the necessary diagnostic tools to further investigate and so we crossed our fingers and continued onward.     ... At about 4:30, we packed up and headed back to Arcata on the 299 highway. I was sure a day in the sun would bring a severe sunburn, but the sunscreen must have worked its magic.
