Arrived at Outdoor Resort St. Lucie West, Port St. Lucie FL. Home for the next month. A beautiful place, I have never seen so many Prevosts in one place!! We have a nice spot overlooking a small lake, with a lighted fountain. Have seen large turtles but no gators. Larrys cousin Bob & Shirley have a place here as do their friends Ton & Sandy. ... was good (but was actually not), and headed up Highway 1 towards Cape Canaveral. The drive up was nothing of note, but as soon as I got over the bridge and the huge, orange fuel pod appeared on the horizon, my nerd alert started firing. Needles to say, we enjoyed every minute of the warmth. Afterwards, we headed to my parents place to stay the ...

... was in the street and on a very small median strip and no police traffic control anywhere. On the news the next morning the clean up folks said that the beach was the cleanest it has ever been after a launch. We were positioned 12 miles from the launch pad across the Indian River and had no obstruction in front of us except people. You just have to see a launch to believe it. There are only 2 launches left, one in April and one in ...

      Saturday - Drive to Melbourne

A travel blog entry by jspringe on Jun 05, 2010

The way David's vacation worked out for this trip, he didn't have to work again until Tuesday - but the condo rental was only Sat.to Sat. so we couldn't really extend the trip. But then David suggested we made the short drive down to Melbourne to visit Jennifer's family there. So we set the wheels in motion calling everyone and making ...
