... met them last year in Fernandina Beach. They were travelling with our EYC friends, Brian and Jane. We travelled together, on and off, from Fernandina Beach, FL to Coconut Grove, FL and then spent last Christmas Eve together. Hope to catch up with them again at some point.

      Must. Get. Further. South.

We left the marina and turned towards the sea. A bit of a squirt of the throttle had us sitting comfortably on 6 knots at half revs, she is a quick boat. Cool!

After a long day of driving yesterday, I was happy to sleep in a comfortable bed at my Grandma's house. I have been here before, but this was the first time I found myself without the rest of my family and was looking forward to taking it easy. The only thing I've always wanted to do, but never had a chance, was visit Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center. I set out about 11:00, stopped for a quick bite at a sub shop that ...

... tomorrow - the weather is changing, dropping down to the mid-low 40's tonite about 20 degrees colder than the nights have been recently!); with a high tomorrow of only the mid 60's...up into the low-mid 70's as we get further into the next week. Doesn't hurt to be leaving the beach so much when beach weather has left us first!

... We have met a lot of people here and will stop by here next year for a week not a month. Our next stop is Fort Clinch, which is on the Florida Georgia border. We will be there for a week, then off to Savannah for a few days and then Myrtle beach for 5 days and then home. We should be home around the 19th or 20th of March. We are already planning next years trip. I am convinced we will take short trips during the summer.

      More later.
