... somewhere around 12:30. After finding our hotel, and giving ourselves the guided tour of downtown it was time for lunch. It was either Subway, or McDonald's, our choice was limited. We decided on Subway, and the adventure began. I had to get the #1 idiot on the island making my sub. I ordered a footlong turkey sub. Well, Mr @$!& for brains starts putting two chicken breast on the sub. I had to tell him that wasn't turkey, so he takes it off. Next, ...

... in the middle of the road. This group decided the road was their private spot, and we were not going anywhere. How hysterical it was to watch them bring a large bus to a complete stop. After tying up the road for 10-15 minutes they got bored with us, and let us leave. We had 45 minutes for lunch, and get to our boat tour. Lunch went down so fast we didn't know we ate. The sunshine smiled lovingly on us and we cycled for miles around the islands, walked on the ...

... It stands 142 feet high, and can be seen 19 miles out to sea.

I struck up a conversation with a guy at the pony lookout that mentioned the ponies on the north end of the island were much closer, sometimes right on the road--looking for a handout. We had lunch in Chincoteague and left for the 1 1/2 hour drive to the north end. We are camped inland, almost dead center of the island, so ...

This morning we left the boardwalk behind and caught a ride to Delaware via the cape may-lewes ferry. Smooth sailing across the mouth of the Delaware bay. Even saw some dolphins. We actually caught the earlier ferry (amazing feat for us!) so with the extra time we decided to drive thru the Delaware beaches that neither of us had been too since our childhood. Once you get past the generic outlet areas rehoboth was really charming. ...
