We left Sandy Hook at about 11:45 am to make sure we were getting into Cape May the next morning at low tide for the bridges and to go up the Delaware with the tide. It was a perfect night to cross. The waves were three feet to start and they lessened as the night went on. There was no moon until 2:30 am and it was a small crescent only, but it was a clear night and not too cold and we had all the stars to accompany us. We stayed between a mile and two miles off shore and we hardly ...

We're back in our comfy house and back "on vacation" - cycling, swimming, golfing, fishing, eating etc when we're not just lazing around.
Enjoying the warm, sunny weather, better than we expected for this time of year.

Friday: George went out fishing, it was a nice warm calm day, only small fish caught but good fun. Barb went shopping and swimming.

Legend is getting used to going to the bathroom with cars buzzing by on the highway. Jess and I spent some time today at the outlet mall next to the hotel browsing. We tried a very popular seafood restaurant this evening too. It was crowded at 5:30 with a 20 minute wait....when we left, the wait was over an hour. It's ...

Ryan and I awoke early and headed outside with Legend. The air is brisk....I had my jacket on and Ryan wished he wore his. Invigorating and awesome!! We had breakfast and coffee and are preparing for the day. I will work from the lobby for a few hours and Ryan may have to go to his testing for work soon. Matt and Jess are still ...

... 8217;t drive down Beach Street in Cape May but the manager called the police for us and said it was untrue – we just can’t park on the street. We were able to park at the Lobster House and had a very enjoyable lunch outside next to the docks and fishing boats in Cape May. We definitely would camp here again especially if we were taking the Cape May Ferry on our travels. Well worth a ...
