We have a cold day today but a short one. We need to make Portland Maine so Carolyn can fly home. We stop at a state park called Battle Mountain and pay $9 entrance fee to take a 2 mile road up to the top. The view is of Penobscot Bay. It could also be that we had hit Maine during the start of the Fall where the leaves had started to turn every scene a dazzling pallet of colour.
