This would be a great place to stay if it wasn't for the fog. it is only in summer. The room was comfortable and clean. Close to the beach and good value with a breakfast included in the price. Also close to Hearst Castle.

Best inn I've stayed in so far. Nothing fancy, but for the location it's got the best prize/value relation.
Clean rooms with a beatiful ocean sunset view. Big comfy beds. Breakfast offers the basics like toast, coffee and juice, though seating space is sparse.

... but typical. Locals tell me that summers north of Santa Barbara temps low 20c max. Only ever have three real days of summer and water temp never higher than 14 to 16c. We visited the little town of San Simeon just below the Castle on the ocean. Was used by construction workers and servants and only has one small store. Next was Cumbria 8 miles down the road. ...

... the beach taking pictures as the sun slowly set into the ocean, it simply was so calming. It was a perfect way to end the day as it was a reminder that even though we get frustrated and its not always easy, I wouldn’t trade a single day of this for anything in the world.

We headed back to the campground, got ready for bed, and crawled in the tent for the night. And in the morning, we took our time getting everything packed up, but then on our way to San ...
