This would be a great place to stay if it wasn't for the fog. it is only in summer. The room was comfortable and clean. Close to the beach and good value with a breakfast included in the price. Also close to Hearst Castle.

Best inn I've stayed in so far. Nothing fancy, but for the location it's got the best prize/value relation.
Clean rooms with a beatiful ocean sunset view. Big comfy beds. Breakfast offers the basics like toast, coffee and juice, though seating space is sparse.

Go visit if you are in the area, it is well worth the price of admission. If you have any trouble with reservations, use Barb‘s nameJ .

... out until a much later hour. This would have caused a hiccup for us since we were on somewhat of a packed schedule, and needed to get on up the road by a certain time that evening. James asked the guide if William Hearst actually made money and the response was a bit hesitant.
