This would be a great place to stay if it wasn't for the fog. it is only in summer. The room was comfortable and clean. Close to the beach and good value with a breakfast included in the price. Also close to Hearst Castle.

      ... down the coast. Brilliant!

One thing we've seen in a few places are ground squirrels; they're like normal squirrels but have less bushy tales. The ones at Carmel beach were extremely friendly. We'd just picked up a pastry for lunch and I tore a bit off and the squirrel loved it. I ended up with a crowd of people around me watching as the squirrel quite happily stood up on its back legs on my hand eating whilst I stroked ...

The drive was indeed very scenic, many fantastic look outs along to stop at. It was high over the cliffs. I don’t really enjoy that part, makes me feel a little weird. We found a nice place in Morro Bay to stay, and will stay 2 ...

Tomorrow we head to San Fransisco. It's times like this that I wish I had Chris and Laura H. along as they used to live there!

We'll let you know how we survive San Fran tomorrow.
