    Then we saw lots of oil donkeys as we approached the coast. Shipping on an inland canal, protecting oil ships from the sea.

    We camped at High Island. It is high because it is on a salt dome, which is associated with finding oil underneath. It is also a bird sanctuary for migrating water birds.

    Stayed on Galveston Island, Texas, at Jamaica Beach, nice and hot, Mike is finally in his shorts much to his delight.

    ... had heard about piano man Phil on the cruise boards. He didn't disappoint. The finale of the show was comedian, Azeem. He was enjoyable. I think I might have been too tired and sore to really enjoy the show entirely.

    On our way back to the room we found a good spot to watch the Circus Parade. After that we all headed to bed very exhausted and ready to start fresh tomorrow.
