      It has finally come to an end. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and our time with Dave & Sherry. Back to the real world now. The horn blew on the ship at 5:47am and woke us all.       Two weeks out, until we leave for our big trip! We'll fly out of IAH, Make a Stop in ATL then to Joburg to hop on a little plane into Gaborone Botswana!       ... A hurricane demolished part of the pier and the pavillion. It was rebuilt and dedicated in 1935. Hurricane Carla again destroyed the pavillion in 1961. In 1988 the city made necessary repairs to make it safe again. In 2003 Hurricane Claudette did enough damage to render the structure unsafe. As of this date the structure still stands awaiting a decision as to its fate. By the looks of it, the town is awaiting the same decision- lots of vacant ...
