Gerädert vom ewigen Einkaufen ging es dann endlich zum wohl allseits bekannten Hollywood-Schriftzug, den wir trotz statisch verbleibendem Ort erst etwas später fanden... I was running out of time to see a show at)the Planetarium at the Griffith Observatory which was high on the list of things to see. And if I had a car I would have also visited the Getty Villa in Malibu which is next to impossible to reach by public transport. I guess I have to come back to LA one ...

Whoo, big day today. We had to be at the Grauman Chinese Theatre at 9.00am, so we walked to the Universal City station (about 1.5km) then hopped on the metro once again, one stop only to Hollywood/Highland where we emerged onto Hollywood Boulevard. From there it was a very short walk up the street to the famous theatre - this is where all the movie premieres are and the red carpet is set up outside to greet the stars - but more on this later. ...
