... On the way home we stopped off in Armidale for a coffee. The sun was shining when we went in to the shopping center and just as we got our coffees a huge thunder storm came on with very heavy rain. Some of the store even lost power. Thankfully we were driving away from the storm on the way back to Tamworth as it wouldn't have been the most enjoyable journey in a storm. All in all it was a lovely trip.

For about 30 minutes, we wandered around and took pictures of the view.

The day we left Byron Bay looked a bit more promising but it was time to move on. As we chatted to the kids friends parents a huge leech decided to make a go for my ankle so I hurried up proceedings and we moved on. We were not sure where we were going to go but in the end decided on Coffs Harbour because we figured there would be more to do if the rain continued.

And the rain did continue, for the rest of the day on which ...

... in the southern Hemisphere. There area also some great beaches in this area, 1 mile being the famous one with nice waves and heaps of surfers!

That night in Nelson bay we (illegally) camped on Little beach, a beautiful beach and a marine sanctuary (no fishing etc.) where we parked up 15 meters from the waves. As the sun was going down, and I was sitting in front of the van, on the beach, a school of dolphins came playing in the waves, ...
