When we woke up this morning at about 8:30, we felt like we'd slept in so much as normally we are up by 6am...but it feels so good to sleep in an actual bed.
Bonnie and Jim cooked us breakfast which was delicious...you forget how nice it is not to have cereal with luke warm almond milk.
We wanted to see a bunch today as we are planning on heading off soon to catch up with another friend in Yosemite.
We had another really good sleep and were so hungry when we woke up!
It was Labor Day today so lots of places have unusual opening hours or aren't open at all....but the one place we knew would be open was IHOP! We had a good breakfast and then made our way to Bonnie and Jim's place (Bonnie is my mum's cousin)
They live in Santa Clarita which is just north of LA...I briefly saw them at Sarah and Joshs wedding but before that it ...

Once we had eaten, rested in the shade and played some Frisbee we found the Train Station to stay at overnight as not many other places seemed to allow it.
Just before we settled down, we made a quick stop at the Ben and Jerry store to sample some of their ice ...

Cin's told you about our experience with picking up the rental car. The good thing is that, since our last visit to the US, service levels have got up 100 fold! The people were so helpful here that it surpassed our expectations. In fact, I got my stick from the wife than I did from grumpy attendants ;p
