    ... side. They seemed to know we were there and stared back at all these crazy humans who had boxes pointed at them that clicked. All kinds of cameras although most of them were phones like ours. However, there was some pretty professional looking equipment with tripods and long lenses. And, again, we were impressed with the clouds.     • Left early this morning at eight

    • Arrived at Carson National Forest around ten thirty.

    • Grabbed gas for $23.78

    • Also had five sandwhiches for $16.25 and a water for a dollar.

    • Had a light picnic and than was back on the road towards Colorado Springs

    ... and, voila, you were cured sooooooo, when no one was looking, I rubbed some, as did the owners of all the crutches hanging up in the adjacent room, on my arthritic fingers and knees. Well, the result ---- I guess you have to be a believer!!
    Taos was a lovely town with the traditional Plaza with cute trendy shops surrounding it -- a little too upscale ski country for us.
    Back to Santa Fe.........

    ... Holly and Carly from New York and Jim and Dave from Canada. Jim's really chuffed he's one of only 3 of that group to have pedalled all the way; just him, ironman Dave and ironwoman Brenda. We'll also miss Texan Jerry not only because he was even slower than us but because he left us a note to say "You're the best even though you are Brits".
