... process (with others) created Rock and Roll the root of all popular music for the last 60 years. British Bands such as the Rolling Stones and the Animals absorbed this music and gave it an international audience. Without the work of Alan Lomax all this could have remained a local musical expression of the hardships and suffering of the African American workers in the Delta lost in history. ... museum. But lunch first and I had the most fantastic pulled pork and home made baked beans. I had been dying to try southern pulled pork and I wasn't disappointed. The museum is quite new, cost $27m and you can see why. Extremely professional exhibitions, with a clear story line and excellent use of AV's. BB King had a very poor, hard early life and came to Indianola as a tractor driver. He sang in a local gospel choir - St John's ...
