The impact of the falling masses of water produce an incredible amount of mist and wind, which is fun to experience! we learn that sometimes there is as much as 225K cubic feet (6400 kubikmeter) of water PER SECOND coming down.

        ... was lunchtime, and I had my second attraction to consider, taking the exterior elevator to Skylon Tower. This building is 525 feet high and 775 feet above the base of the falls. The top most floor is the observation deck, the next floor down is a family dining buffet, the floor below that is a revolving dining room.         I'm not quite in Niagra Falls yet, but I'll visit it in the morning. I got in too late to see anything today. Buffalo was horrible! It was a big dirty city and super stressful to bike through. I stopped near a playground to look at my map and a boy around age 10 rode up in his bike. "Why would you go to Canada?" He scoffed. He was a nice kid, but seemed unenthused by our plans to see Niagra Falls. Biking into Canada was very confusing. We finally found someone to talk to ...
