    The penultimate day!

    ... gave it a miss.

    Our last hotel is a Super 8 (hurrah) and our whole riding group will be going out for dinner tonight.

    Tomorrow we have a short ride (170 miles) back to where we had started 38 days and nearly 14000 miles ago.

    I will update the blog with this final day and give you a few of my reflections on the trip.

We talked probably for too long as the boy was obviously very smitten & she was leaving the next day to travel back to New York and then Poland on Tuesday, so we said a fond farewell, hope he makes an impression as she was eager to get back to the US.     ... minute of grandparenthood. We are giving suggestions only when asked how to bathe a baby, how to know when to use Desitin, how to try to get the baby to sleep in his crib...and the rest of the time, we are just cooking meals, running errands, and being grateful for the opportunity we have to be with our kids and grandbaby. What a difference this time around...this is the grandparenting that we envisioned!
