... row. Amazingly, we're only about a hundred yards from the Costco Warehouse. Such a deal!


In thinking, I've omitted the fact that US 50 runs somewhat along the old route of the Pony Express. Not much is left of any of it, but signs point out when you're driving close to the trail.

We left camp around 8:30 this morning. We took the time to stop and enjoy a few amazing sights as we made our way on highway 120 through the whole of Yosemite and then through Tioga Pass - 11,561 ft at the summit. There were amazing glacier lakes and alpine meadows - bursting with flowers. As we traveled the pass the world around us transitioned unto high desert. Mono lake was impressive ...

... the warm pool and the "warmer still" waterfall pool. Lyndsey does decide to check out the "cool" pool and tells me it is almost as warm as the warm one. I spend a little more time in the hot tub while Lyndsey swims a bit more. It is very relaxing and the only uncomfortable time comes when you want to switch pools since it is indeed very chilly outside.
