    ... out of town plans for the weekend so we explored Long Beach Island on our own. Rains kept us in the car most of the time but we managed a few geocaches and a nice lunch. Some areas along this drive had the most interesting architectural designed houses we've ever seen.

    Day in camp, except dinner at the shiny Stafford Diner. Rains brought a promise of cooler weather.

    ... and eat lunch. We have no real plans for today and realise we need more food, so we head out in search of a grocery store around 2pm.     ... trails. This is a muliti use park which is huge, there is even an archery range, soccer fields, playgrounds, bike trails and horse trails. The campground is easy to get to off of 195.     This is a New Jersey State park without hookups but it does have bathhouse with showers which need to be updated. There are only about 55 sites and the ones in the field can take large motor homes but most of the others within the trees and low branches were not a good choice except for those RV's like ours less than 26ft.
