All the splorin made us hungry, and thanks to a tip from a friend of Max, we went to Fitz's Root Beer Company for a 2:00 lunch. After that, we went buckled up for the 5 1/2 hour trip to Tulsa, that included a couple stops for gas and to scrape the ice that had built up on the window wipers from freezing rain that poured over us for more than half the journey. Got to Broken Arrow, OK after a windy 584 miles drive. Loved the sweeping wide turns on the roads in southern Missouri. Not much to see scenery-wise, so I spent a lot of time listening to fantastic music from the 60's, 70's, and 80's on some CDs that were stuck under my passenger seat.

I stopped when I crossed into Oklahoma at the visitor's information center and picked-up a couple jar of Prairie Fire jam. ...

... in 1966-67.  Also, we will accompany Quan and Jacqueline to locations around Ho Chi Minh City where they are planning to work with some US doctors to perform catarac surgery for poor people.  Other side trips are planned in that area.
