The canal's current zipped us right out to the Delaware Bay where we spent our afternoon into the evening traveling to the Bay's entrance. Of course the closer we got to the ocean, the higher and choppier the waves got as it seemed all those thunderstorms rolling across land were chasing us out to sea. ...

... has 2. The 2nd being the Trump Taj Mahal hotel and Casino. Each take up many blocks and are extremely impressive .....however the one that took our eye was not one of his, but the latest to open in 2012.
A monstrous glass beauty that sits at the Northern end of the boardwalk called the Revel. (today's paper reporting it is closing if a buyer is not found, and would impact on 3200 ...

... a 7 mile beach.. It stretches from Townsends Inlet in the North, and South to Hereford Inlet. The island is comprised of 2 towns, Avalon (where the wealthy live) and Stone Harbor. . At the most 7 blocks wide, and in parts 2 blocks between ocean and Great Channel mainland. Monica (having lived and sold Real Estate in this area) was an excellent tour guide. ... a really cool authentic 'lobster shack' style family restaurant complete with tacky ship ornaments and nautical wall paper. The owner in his 80's still comes over to each table and personally checks that your meal is up to scratch. Dylan had a feast of lobster, shrimp and clams. We even got free 'mothers day' fudge to give to our momma... Sorry mums we ate it!! After an exhausting day we were ready for a good nights sleep ...
