Another late wake up. Mainly cause of late texting. Damn that change in timezone. The kids are up, of course, and there's instant talk of going to the mall. I had mentioned it the day before, as there was a few things I needed to pick up. A phone especially. So we piled into the car and headed off. T-Mobile was busy and we got sick of waiting, so we found an AT&T across the street, near target. I head in ...

Everything around the inside edges was wet. Jeff and I laid out all wet clothes and blankies on the ground outside. Unfortunately the worst hit was our brand new a/c from yesterday's post. Loud cheering as we made it all the way to the top of the incline this time and after a bit more driving pulled into a Walmart car park ...

... re used to, this field is an utter mess - pumpjacks facing every which-a-ways, low slack-span powerlines zig-zag all over the place, nothing seems symetrical, pipelines are laid on the ground and the roads look like a BMX track. If they want a road to go "over there," they dump a load of dirt on the pipeline and drive over it. What the....?Heading to Hemet, CA felt like we were heading home - our friends were waiting. Even before we parked, the party troupe ...

Ain't no party like a wigwam pool party

... I was actually laughing out loud. Whoops!)

Elwood still wants to play but he is way, way too hot to stay outside and he needs feeding. So we get him in the car and his head explodes when we go past a Burger King with an indoor play area. So we go in, get Elwood lunch and us caffeine (the wigwam does not have coffee facilities – going cold turkey is proving hard). All is going brilliantly until Elwood notices the play area ...
