Leaving Yorba Linda, Gin worked out a wicked route off the interstate to get to Indio/Palm Springs. We had no idea how amazing it would be, but to give you an example...

You know those intros to most James Bond movies has a car chase - Bond in his silver Aston Martin is being chased by two or three other cars of henchmen, all decked out in black, and invariably one or all of ...

We will be spending Christmas with our good friends Jim and Della from Gibbons. They bought a beautiful winter home in Palm Springs and invited us to join them for the holiday as they won't have any family for Christmas either. We will come back to Hemet for the New Year's celebration and head for Arizona ...

Ain't no party like a wigwam pool party

... I was actually laughing out loud. Whoops!)

Elwood still wants to play but he is way, way too hot to stay outside and he needs feeding. So we get him in the car and his head explodes when we go past a Burger King with an indoor play area. So we go in, get Elwood lunch and us caffeine (the wigwam does not have coffee facilities – going cold turkey is proving hard). All is going brilliantly until Elwood notices the play area ...
