... on top of that we had two whistle stops and a pit stop to make as well. The crucial whistle stop was checking in and dropping off our luggage at The Best Western Inn on Centinela at Inglewood. We'd booked a night there because it was close to LAX, so just a short shuttle bus ride to our domestic flight on Friday. Whistle stop 2 was to be a brief photo opportunity at the Danish flavoured Solvang, a small town of 5000 or so just off of the 101 South. One of Deanne's ...

A travel blog entry by byramroadtrips

Woke up none too early, got breakfast at the hotel, and then hit the town. First thing was taking the New Orleans streetcar uptown. Stopped at Lafayette Cemetary #1 to browse, and then the streetcar back to the French quarter. Wandered to Jackson Square to see the artwork and people, then tried to find a Po-Boy sandwich place on the way back to the hotel (a bit of drama between the girls). Ate lunch and headed out of town for long ...
