We were advised by the nice lady in the Mexican restaurant that Utah is an alcohol free state, so there we were at 8:15 am in Helena trying to get into a liquor store to stock up...shameful. This was definitely a travel day - 900 km and 8 1/2 hours in the car, but we did have one stop for gas and bathroom. The view was spectacular......the rays on the setting sun could be seen on the red rocks...which made it look spectacular. We clicked pictures from all the angles and retired to bed after a hectic day :) There are nice Mexican and steakhouse places to dine out at Moab. A hummer ride or renting a RTV is highly recommended if ...

... what it is,” I reckon.

It’s great once again to see the flora of the desert. There are lots of cacti, especially in the highway median area. I love those things and also the birds that live in them. We’ve seen few birds so far, but there was an abundance of large doves at our last camp. Their song is a bit forlorn, but a welcome song, nonetheless.

I’ll be back later. Thanks for stopping ...
