Tuesday brought us more fog but we waited for the ferry from Portland to tie up before we left Yarmouth Harbor. We were in fog all the way across the Bay of Fundy. We were in touch with the Fundy Traffic Control as we crossed the shipping channel and had to slow down for a LNG tanker to cross our bow about four miles in front of us but we never saw it. As we entered Seal Cove, we were still in the fog but as we proceeded in we were able to see some land ...

"When you tug on a single thing in nature, you find it attached to the entire universe." - John Muir Tuesday, Aug 05 2014 We arrived at Hikers Welcome Hostel this morning. Was great seeing this place again, brings back a lot of great memories from my last thru-hike. like when I found a bat up in the rafters...and tried to grab it, but it always seemed to get a little further than I could reach. We watched a few movies, grabbed food for the next few days, and ate ...

... Trading Post, a kind of theme park / stopping place. It was the most random place we have ever been. Highlights were: a Segway racetrack, a museum which seemed to be dedicated to old car batteries and gramophones (an obvious mix), live bear shows, and a working steam railway. We watched the bear show with mixed feelings. The warden came on and explained how the bears are all orphans that have been found injured and nursed back to health, how ...
