    ... now is as good as on time and we watched the usual Chinese queueing procedure which involves lots of standing around for no real reason. Once on the plane we realised that this group was unusually fidgety. Beside me was a guy who seemed to have St. Vitus dance & was playing games with his daughter.     We went to Hangzhou, China on a train that went 304 km/hr. from Shanghai. It was a super fast train.

    In Hangzhou we went to a place called West Lake and rented bikes to ride around. There were a lot of people walking and riding bikes around the lake so we had to be careful..

    ... the 27th) after pre-purchasing our train tickets to Beijing, we spent the day touring West Lake. We rented bikes and rode around the lake and then hired a row boat for about a half an hour. This lake is a highlight thus far. I would recommend it to anyone travelling in these parts.

    Given the number of emergency visits to the squater, I'd say perhaps I've been a bit too enthusiastic with the street food.

    ... speaking fluent English asking how I came to be up in the hills on my own on a track they as locals were unfamiliar. They explained they were "English Lovers", a club who get together to practice English.

    I really enjoyed walking though the hills and up the peaks. On the last peak there was a tea house with a view, a wonderful place for lunch, and they served delicious sweet and sout ...

    ... but are now out numbered by the many upmarket coffee houses with free Wi-Fi. It was around 30C and humid.
