... Huanglong Valley (Yellow Dragon Valley). Named after the fact that from a distance the valley looks like a huge dragon snaking through the snow capped mountains. To us it looked like a very nice valley that resembled a very nice valley and not a dragon. The chinese have great imaginations. ... a nice place to stand. But then I felt a gentle tug on my dress, and it was a lady who was standing up and motioning that I should take her seat. I wasn't quite sure what to do, would it be rude for me to decline? And so I tried replying that I don't need (Wǒ b xūyo) and she looked at me somewhat perplexed and I moved away slightly, and after looking at me for some time she sat down again in her seat. It was odd not to say the least.

... like part of China, so it sets a nice atmosphere for Buddha viewing. We were the only white people there -- surprising.

Now we are back in Chengdu, it is cold, and I want to take a bath...someday. For lunch we feasted on a snack-giving of multiple types of oreos, tomato flavor potato sticks, "charming barbeque" flavored chips, etc. This is what we eat when there is no time/money for a real meal. So gross, but really so fun.
Now we are about to leave to go get some Xichuan ...
