... and homage to loved ones can be made at one of many locations in front of the several pavilions. This is a sacred place and you do feel that when you walk about the courtyards. Both Asian and Western alike take part in private prayer offerings. It is easy to loose yourself in the walls of the temple grounds. The area is vast, peaceful and completely at odds with the nightmarish traffic beyond the temple walls! This is a ...

Walking round the city I couldn't believe how quiet it was. All the motorcycles are electric. Nearly got ran over twice, then I realised I must be worth 100 points to em.
There's some sort of revolution going on in China with all things electrical. Everywhere you look, people ...

So we took a local bus from Luang Prabang to Luang Namtha, where we would be able to take a bus to China.

The busride was about 8 hours long, but we had a Mickey Mouse clock in the bus that made it all worthwhile :D. We shared our bus with about 30 Lao people, 2 French people and an American guy.
