    ... a few baby pandas, they are tiny when first born and this is due to the gestation period of only about 95 to 160 days. The new borns are kept in incubators, like you would use for a premature baby. I think thÝs Ýs becuase quite often the mother rejects the baby at birth and they are too small to survive on their own.

    We arrive in Chengdu with a free afternoon which on this trip do not happen very often.

    The hotel is in the downtown shopping area so armed with a map off we go to see the sights. The map gives a very false impression. It is miles to the tourist sights so we causiously explore the retail shops.

    They are all here Prada, Chanel, Zara all the familiar names of Europe and the place is packed - it is not ...

    ... was worth the effort. Spent a few more hours at work, then Nancy and I broke for dinner, had a nice meal with a salad, roasted duck and fish - all delicious.
