      A day with Dali

... that everyone who was still in Tampa was at the Dali Museum. A good 40 minute queue and super busy when we got in. Fantastic though - a special exhibition of Picasso and Dali, how the men and their art influenced each other. And the permanent exhibition of Dali works was extremely impressive. It showed his amazing talent from a very young age, his technique and detail, and how his ...

      Getting Comfy

We spent our past couple of days getting needed sunshades, wheel covers, and doing laundry, etc.. I haven't mastered our Splendide washer/dryer combo. Two and a half hours for a load of undried clothes is a bit much for my patience. So I headed to a laundromat to do six loads! Only to find out we have a beautiful coin laundry right here...so much for exploring! I'll master it when Bruce is busy at the "other house". We ...

      16th August part two

A travel blog entry by vhicks on Aug 16, 2014

It is 6:44 am, so an improvement on yesterday and what makes it even better is the location. Welcome to Florida! Following on from the last entry, we got up just after 6am and left the hotel just after 7. Our car got the once over and Paul worried that the agent was going to run out of paper whilst ...

... us off at the Boardwalk resort, since it is closer to World Showcase at Epcot where we were dining in France tonight. In eleven trips to WDW, we had never been to the Boardwalk resort yet. We only had a chance to grab a quick peek before walking along the boardwalk towards the International Gateway which brings us into World Showcase at Epcot between UK and France. We checked in at the restaurant and within fifteen minutes we were called for our table. ...

      Wild things - Animal Kingdom

... on the first round. We completely stuffed ourselves. So what better thing to do after eating a huge meal than to go on a roller coaster? We rode Expedition Everest two more times...back to back. We would have ridden more, but we had a show to catch before park closing. Festival of the Lion King...this is probably the best show on property. The music and performances are so colorful and moving. A couple of the singers seemed a little off here and there, but overall, ...
