      ... customs and immigration. We were back to 1728 First Ave by 10:00 pm
      It was a great trip. We enjoyed all if the food, wine, chocolates, beer, and pastries. We would recommend that anyone travelling to France consider a few days in Brittany.
      New York, Paris, and London are always great for a visit.

      Breakfast was served at Kelsey and Bradley's and we headed off for Banff under clear skies and warm sunshine, with the top down, of course. After waiting for our pass (which we didn't use) at the park gate we searched out a parking garage and wandered down the Main Street.       ... greeted at the door by an employee who asked what our business was. We showed him our passport applications and indicated we wanted to submit them here. He asked if we had official Canadian ID. We asked, like this birth certificate here attached to our forms? He said no, picture ID. We indicated that we didn't have Canadian picture ID but did have our US ID...Would that work? Nope, got to be official Canadian ID. Soooo... we said, that's why we are here, ...

      ... section devoted to the fur trapping era and the Hudson's Bay Company.

      One thing you soon note is that it evidently got very cold (and, of course, still does!) out on the praries - fireplaces or cast iron (heating) stoves in most rooms, or with the flues running through adjacent rooms to spread the heat.

      Tomorrow? Off to The Military Museums of Alberta and Fort Calgary ...
