We finally made it back up to Chicago to see Martin's family again before we move to Italy! It's always a fun time spending it with the ones you love. We take in family cookouts (2-3), kids soccer games, outlet mall trips, trips to the city, visiting with EVERYONE, casino trips, and just spending time with family. We love LOVE LOVE going back home to family and it is just as hard to leave the 100th time as it was the 1st! ...

It's quickly become apparent that I won't be able to do one of these every day but only when possible really. Yesterday (or I suppose you could argue the day before) we took the train from New York to Chicago. We dropped our stuff off at Penn Station and had another quick look around New York, bought a Bulls hoodie ready for the game in Chicago as well.

Obviously studying was my main concern while packing; I didn't even bring school supplies...oops. Live and ...

... But there he was, he finally set off! I got pretty nervous watching him from below, obviously they had closed off the area immediately below him and were delaying the TV broadcast by 10 seconds in case he fell to his death! His great-grandfather died when doing a tightrope walk aged 73 in 1978. Very sad. I actually think the whole thing he is doing is very selfish, after all he has a wife and two kids! How must they be feeling??He did the ...

... pretty long way from O'Hare all the way to downtown, so it did kind of start to lose its lustre, especially in the dark of the evening.

We walked around downtown Chi-town for a while and eventually settled on deep dish pizza at Pizano's which turned out to be a delicious and family friendly choice. We hopped the Blue Line back out to Rosemont just in time for the bedtime routine.

It was a pretty good start to a big adventure.
