... good old Hollywood sign in the distance, to take some pictures.
There is a law past after September 11th, that no one is allowed to get near the Hollywood sign any longer and it is protected by the LAPD. So there were no hikes or drone flights on our agenda today! LOL!

... view. We decided to carry on up here. So we continued up the wide dusty trail up toward the peak. We watched all the people driving around the roads in their flash convertibles. After a hot walk and some slippery, dusty shortcuts we made it up to the top of the hill. It was a really good 360deg view from up here and you could see los angeles sprawling out into the distance in every direction. We could see suburbs in valleys behind the hill stretching out as far as we could see. ...
... get away from. We picked a quiet spot for lunch, and ended up next to a rap dancing presentation with music from the hood. Most unfortunate. And as for lunch... $10usd for a ham sandwich. A good sandwich, but still expensive when you think of that in nzd.
Once back in our neighbourhood we found a food court at the local mall, and all found a dinner we were happy with. Then home for a swim and a spa... nice way to end a full on day.
... t quite work out as well as I thought. We sat in row 69 which was the first row with only 2 seats at the window. It was great as we could throw all our luggage to the side of my seat and get to it fairly easily and didn't have to bother people getting up our of our seats.
The flight was very uneventful, with the BOSE headphones going on to shut out the plane noise and the inflight movies to keep us entertained. ...

of course that's a European thing so even though duvet inners can be
found easily, the covers are proving harder to find. We've sourced
some now though and are getting them sent ahead to San Diego where
we'll be next week.
