    ... good and actual cutlery. The little things you miss when you don't have them! We cooked our pasta and sauce with not too much trouble, I knew we were going to be good at this malarky!     ... of cyclists on this trip, many of them well and truly laden. Today however we came upon what was obviously 'an event'. Cyclist of both sexes and all sizes were manfully cycling up and down the steep coastal hills. We discovered they were taking part in the California Cross Classic and were cycling from San Francisco to Los Angeles in aid of the Child Arthritis Foundation. There was more whale watching.     ... a half delay. This eventually turned in to a four hour delay. We bought some cards and sat up in the dining car and played 'cheat' and a bit of 21, whilst eating Pizza and M &Ms. As we kept checking, the word was that we had to wait for a coroner as someone had jumped in front of the train and committed suicide.     ... s for us all to try (I actually thought it sounded and looked disgusting but was forced into trying it and actually thought it was pretty good.) We stayed at the funfair all evening and all had a really good night it was a classic American funfair and was cool to do something a little different.
