... Saw the Waterworld movie stunt show and did a tour of the Universal backlot and sound stages. The girls were impressed that The Voice America was being filmed at the time. Steve got to see the Delorean while Mads got up to close to an Oscar! We watched a special effects show before being picked up for a brief tour of downtown Hollywood at night. Walked on the stars in Hollywood Boulevard ...

After two nights on the train we were ready for a REAL bed so a couple of night's at my sister Colleen's house in San Jose (an hour's drive south of San Francisco) was perfect. Originally we thought we would spend our week in California at her home, but she suggested that we spend a few days at Disneyland instead. You are NEVER too old to enjoy Disneyland so we jumped at the chance.

The only thing I wanted to do before we left was to visit the cemetery where my mother is ...

    The Disney FASTPASS Service

So you could theoretically hold tickets for both parks and not have the same constraints. While you won't have the long wait times like on stand-by just note that you will still have to wait in line. This is usually only for a few minutes. It was a slightly weird feeling walking past all those others who had been standing in line longer, but ...

    Beach bound

... the pier. We walked about there for awhile soaking up the atmosphere and at the end we saw a sea lion swimming in the ocean!!!

We then headed back towards the car by way of the sand. Megan went for a quick submersion in the ocean whilst Steven paddled up to his knees and then we just enjoyed the smells and sounds of the sea back to the car.

Not a very busy day for us in comparison to the others, but still got to see some sites and do some things!

... out! It was very fun though! When we go to Texas we will be going to an even more severe rollercoaster theme park where they have one of the worlds tallest rollercoasters called The Titan. I think I'm gonna have to work up to that one!! After a couple of crazy neck and back jerking rides we finished off at the pool side soaking up some Vitamin D and relaxing. We went out to dinner tonight with family friends to a shopping mall called Spectrum Center located in Irvine, CA. It's ...
