      ... did not see this miniscule notice. Went to the new gate, where the notice screen said we would board in 5 minutes. Not sure how they expected that to happen as there was not even a plane at the gate.

Sally & Ellen's Scottish cousin Ronan, saw one of the most crooked streets in the world, walked along the coastline, did plenty of shopping, and went on a bike tour through town and over the Golden Gate Bridge to Sausalito before catching the ferry back.       ... apparently both of us quitting our jobs was a bit dodgy, but we weren't taken out the back and were let through. No searching of our bags either which was completely unexpected.

      Got our rental car with Brett taking the reins (no way was I going to drive in LA). Had to learn pretty quickly the driving on the right, and how to deal with crazy/idiot LA drivers, and rough roads. Headed straight for our hotel where we crashed for a few hours. Went for a short drive to ...
