Dinner consisted of a salad and a dish called a "pie floater" which consists of pea soup topped with a meat pie. While it sounds strange, it was delicious.           ... and crew alike judging from the number of shopping bags coming home! From the Aquarium there is a free bus, the Passport bus, which goes to Queen Mary and a shopping area. We opted to stay at the shore and walked along to Shoreline Village which is a cute if touristy area of restaurants and shops. There are great views of Queen Mary from here and we stop for an excellent coffee and super fast wifi at The Lighthouse. Then we walk around some more ...

          ... and hopped on a hotel shuttle for the Hilton LAX. After checking in, and discovering the room was not what we had asked for, we went back downstairs.           ... you can look at the history and the photos Too much to tell and very interesting place. From the library which went for an hour, we decided to grab a bite for lunch and ended up in a small food court. We shared a sushi box and some sparkling water. The prices here are similar to home, they are not as cheap as most other US states although are marginally cheaper than our own. The box cost $9.95 plus tax. We decided it was time Skype Janis and the dogs as it's 3.00 ...

          ... road, which involved red carpets, glamour, and celebrities all showing up. Watching from a restaurant across the street we got a pretty good view of everything while we ate dinner.

          Later that night, we went to watch a WNBA game between the LA Sparks and the New York Liberty, before returning to the hostel on the metro and crashing after a pretty long day.
