      ... a great time. We had a few beers and food at the Venice Beach Ale House, then took a long walk up and down the boardwalk. We talked about old times, our families, etc. It was interesting to catch up with a friend from the old neighborhood just as I'm about to embark on a return trip there after 20 something years here in California. It reminded me why I was going home. There are some things that just last. No matter how many years go by, some things don't fade away.

      ... Got in the last limo bus & went clubbing. Had a great night, but lost my Glassons cardi....gutted. 4am festivities & a courtyard band started in anticipation of the LA half marathon right out front of the hostel.       ... day. The day we went universal studios there were some fun shows like the animal show and they showed some tricks that they use for those movie animals to get into a movie.
