We spent our first night at the Holiday Inn Express in Belle Vernon, across from Hoss's.

We started the next day with an early morning breakfast at Eat'nPark with our PA friends. After breakfast, we went to see my Dad and grand parents' graves, and then we hit the road.

For the first part of our trip, we took the back roads through Mt Pleasant, Donegal, and more. At Breezewood we got on to the turnpike for the rest of the ride.

Opting for the back roads, I stayed on Route 30 heading across ...

... will have to come see the niceness for yourself. Rolling hills of farm and woosland, all the buildings are white. The women are always in dresses, the men in dark or light clothing, full beards and straw hats. The wagons are more like buggies, the farm equipment all low tech and horse drawn. Many of the houses advertise for baked goods, shoes and clothing, or wagon construction. My route ...

This picture speaks a thousand words. I reflect back on the first day that Pastor John approached me in the café about going to Kenya with him and a team. He said the Lord was leading him to invite me. That was back in early 2010. At that time I had doubts he was hearing ...
