Very impressed with this Rodeway Inn. We had a bad experience with one earlier in our vacation. Glad we gave them a try again.

There was even a period when one of the clan, won national competitions for the quality of the pelts from his mink farm. A few furry remnants remain. I know fur coats are cruel and I suppose I’m glad they are no longer vogue– but they were also very soft and cosy!

We made it to Maggie's hometown of Ainsworth around 5pm, and were welcomed by her brother Larry, sister-in-law Judy, and nephew Dave (affectionately known around town as Simp or Screech). Maggie's 40th high school reunion activities start ...

... don't fill divots in cow pastures!" Oops, my bad. Later, we had a great dinner with Rick and Dee back at the Lakeside Marina, gobbling up some broasted chicken and mashed potatoes. Then it was back to Smithfield where Rick and Mike showed Maggie and Dee how to play spades, winning 500 to 15. Yeehaw! Off to Maggie's hometown and her high school reunion activities in Ainsworth ...

... Western Trip. It was a good travel day and the kids did a well for their first day on the road. I am especially liking the 75 MPH Speed limit in Nebraska to help the miles go be quickly. We used Priceline, Travelocity, and Orbitz to fine hotel availability and locations that were open to us. Around ...
