... Our trip to Gilbert Ray Campground was as confusing as ever. Both of our navigation devices led us to a pass over the Tucson Mountains where large vehicles over 12,000lbs. are prohibited. After much consternation, on my part, we got disconnected and re-attached and found our way. A kindly fellow, walking by, told us a decent way to travel.

So, I liked Lincoln City, and that whole OR coast area and would like to spend a week there next summer. I saw some very intriguing and pretty places to kayak that I'd like to explore. So from there, I headed south, then southeast across the Cascades, making my way down through Klamath Falls to Alturas CA to a little mom n pop motel, the Wagon Wheel, that I've stayed at before. Very pet-friendly, comfortable, clean, ...

... were night Barry cooked the bass he and Jim caught (supplemented with salmon!), for our turn we made a pork tenderloin with green chili empanada sauce, Brian & Jan did a roasted chicken main, and the Anakas did a mushroom-sauced pork dish. These mains are complemented with various salads, starches, veggies and desserts to make for some terrific eating! One night we decide to "just have ...
