Sleep was difficult with the sun blearing on my face, but it was time to get up. I roused at around 1000 and could see Swede was still sleeping, through the crack in his door. I had a few things to see today so I got moving, and headed to the Titan missile silo.

It took about 30 minutes to reach, south of Tucson. The area is a little built up compared to when the facility was opened in the 60s. It was originally part of a string of silos spread out across the desert ...

... and hundreds of planes just sitting in the desert, millions of dollars just sitting there. Every plane you can think of. The cost for the museum was 12.75 to 15.75 depending whether you were a senior (62) or a retired military person. No discounts for veterans or active military which i thought was strange. Apparently there is no government support for this museum so they depend on those fees to keep it going. All in all a good experience and would highly recommend this. ...
