Bon Voyage and the dreaded suitcase

A travel blog entry by charvet on Oct 12, 2014

Five days to go!!!

I am continuing to procrastinate. I do not want to tackle "the suitcase", so I thought I would send out my first post on my travel blog on my iPad. I want to see if it works....... And if it does not, I can still ask Mike or Bill to teach me how it works. Having tech savvy sons is wonderful!

I am only allowed 33 pounds in my suitcase for a two month trip to various climates and situations. ...

No worries. Made our way to zoo via taxi- I really wish there was a bus stop outside cause ...

I spend easily an hour in just the gallery and the Museum closes at 5:00, so will ...

... you get in Mexico. Not sure I agree with this.. The food I had was very nice, but by no means the best Mexican I've ever had! And I'm from Europe, haha! Can't wait to have a burrito at George's favourite cantina in San Jose! After lunch we went to Ocean Beach, which was another massive white beach in the northern part of San Diego. I tried to find a patch for my collection in a few of the souvenir shops, but was unsuccessful. ...

... buildings, to the people and the food. Which is not surprising considering it's about 10 miles from the border. I really liked it there, despite the fact that it seemed very touristy, it also had a genuine charm about it.

One other thing that Old Town has is something known rather blandly as California State Historic Landmark #65 (seriously, it says exactly that on the street sign). It's more common name is Whaley House. And for the TV ...
