We hebben er zelf niets van gemerkt, maar datgene receptionist achter gepantserd glas zit zal waarschijnlijk iets over de buurt zeggen. Verder best een goede kamer in een hotel met weinig extra voorzieningen.

... with the Hollywood Walk of Fame! Its very long and with an odd mix of names (its seems anyone can have one) but it was such a thrill to see favourites like Bette Davis! None of it was as big and glamorous as I expected, everything is spread out over endless streets and there's a lot of cheap and tacky shops as well as fancy shopping and wealth. We indulged in our first big diner meal and went to check out the famous Chinese Theatre. At every turn, we were approached for big tours (one ...

... and why does anybody else; they're human-beings, just like the rest off us. Why does society perceive the famous as these mystical god like figures? So to anybody looking to visit LA I'd recommend escaping Hollywood ASAP, unless you're into all that "god" worshipping thing. WOW! I love this powerful 6-cylinder, 45-horsepower, 2.8 liter engine, I daydream. She is a 1-year old Datsun 280ZX, with only 15,000 miles. She was the manager’s car, and he gets a new vehicle every year. The only thing that scares me is she is a ...

... Jamaican Bay Inn, was in Marina Del Rey ( the biggest private marina in the US apparently) which wasn't too far from the airport so we were soon there and checked in. Weary from the travelling and the jetlag we had some happy hour snacks in the hotel restuarant (an eclectic mix of lovely fish taco's, humous with pita bread, calamaries, spare ribs and sashimi) and retired early to ...
