    Salute to Henry Ford

A travel blog entry by carmandy on Oct 14, 2014

... Not relaxing but very good. We went to a place called Westborn for lunch which is like a fruit shop that has a cafe in it. But instead of being served the food you go and pick it yourself. ... to complete.  These can easily draw my attention, energy and anxiety and this morning I printed my tickets for the various legs of the journey with little difficulty and called it quits to focus on my experience with myself and my parents.  Smart choice Hilary, even though I still have my taxes to do and a day and a half left to go :)    Today my mom and I went to Verizon, I got a water proof and hopefully monsoon proof cell phone case, and we spent ...

Trouble for the A's and the Volvo in Detroit

... best to completely freak me out about Detroit this was not a good start to our outing.

I had bravely worn a nice obvious green A's shirt for which I soon got a massively loud "OHHHH NOOO Ohhhh NOOOO....we won't even talk about what happened last night" from a local hanging out on the street on the way to the stadium. The A's had butchered the Tigers 14-4 the night before. We figured this was our cue to get inside ...
