Atlantic City was the last stop on our loop back to fly out from New York. We stayed the night at a Casino Hotel.....weird place!

The morning was spent down on the boardwalk and beach. A tractor type machine rakes the beach to clear the debris of the night before.

The scenery was spectacular and the covered bridges were amazing (Note Emily and Martin as well as the above mentioned).

We spent $1,627.49 on this trip going over our saved envelope amount by about $200. Not bad.

I made two trips to Atlantic City while a cadet, at the end of cow and then firstie years. Cow year was post-TEE leave, when a group of Gups (Frank, Mikey, Luke et al.) rented a house near the beach. Despite some unmentionable moments (Scarlett Johansson, anyone?) we had a lot of fun and were able to enjoy some relaxing time together before CLDT and breaking up for the summer. A year later, ...

... road. This is a major destination for migratory birds and the starlings were the current occupants. I learned something new, even some species of bats migrate south to warmer climates to forage for insects. We took the obligatory pictures of the lighthouse, looked for different species of birds in the wetlands and enjoyed the view from the boardwalk over the dunes.
