... where my parents lived until 18 years ago and my brother lived more recently. There were many times over the last quarter century when I contemplated paying one of the restaurants at CIA a visit. With a full day to make the drive to Vermont and weather too cold for doing anything outdoors to be very pleasant, finally having lunch at the CIA seemed like a great idea.

The Culinary Institute of America apparently now has two additional locations in Napa Valley, CA ...

The morning of New Years Eve, we jumped in the car with Sasha and set out to see some more of Connecticut. We saw adorable town after adorable town, and had lunch at an old fashioned general store near Goshen. We drove through Cornwall, a perfect little town with a 200 year old covered bridge. The day trip ended with a hike to the top of a beautiful hill, where we were able to document the last day of the year with justice. ...

A travel blog entry by heavenonearth on Oct 08, 2014

This was a very nice little town on the border on Connecticut and New York. It was so noce we almost stayed for the winter. The problem was that it was down in a valley so getting out of the valley with icy roads would have been a problem. During the summer there was the Houstonic River that ran along side the town. This place was beautiful during the fall. Also saw Bull's Covered Bridge. Too bad they did not have a campground ...

... was a public holiday for most people so Matt and I headed to Manhattan to check out the crazy “Black Friday” sales. To prepare for our shopping spree we stopped at one of our favourite places, The Hampton Chutney Company, for some yummy dosas. We wandered around the Lower east Side and Matt scored a new work bag. A few hours later we had an early dinner at An Choi, a Vietnamese eatery – shopping makes you hungry. We were pretty good and window shopped ...
