    Last minute preparations

    ... job. After that, we had some things to pick up at Walmart. We also met with Mark, Elizabeth, Kelly, and Jared Harris at the Mason Jar in Holly Springs for dinner. It was good to catch up with them as they are campers like us. Hopefully we will see them on the road. As has happened several times, we forgot to take a picture.

    Tomorrow we pull out of Sycamore Lodge and head north.

    Oriental school of sailing. Started class each morning with round table discussion on all points of sail. The rest of the day we sailed. Today, I started my sail with breaking halyard shackle & main came done on top of me. Ultimately, got man lift to pull out halyard and get sail up.     ... mansions. Some were in disrepair, so not. Most were not all that expensive and some were a steal. All needed repairs of some sort. Clio itself is a dying town, with many boarded up buildings, houses ready to collapse and nothing to do in town.
