... for a meal at their home one evening, while Chuck and Jan invited us to their home for a drink, prior to us all driving to a Marina, and catching a water taxi over to Palm Island Resort for a lovely meal. We had our evening cut short, as after finishing our meal, and hoping for a short walk on the beach ,we spotted the horrendous weather approaching - scuttling like nervous children, (with the lightning striking in ...

I took some pics and Garry thinks he would like to go back and purchase a large colourful frog , that Wilda has at the entrance to her home. If there's room, he can ride in the backseat back to NZ.

This annual event was a huge affair with fire trucks standing by , the enormous American flag flying, suspended by a very large crane boom, and a helicopter hovering overhead to record the event with 460 runners waiting expectantly on the roadside for ...

... the afternoon, showered and just relaxed. It was just what we all needed.

In the evening the boys went to pick up dinner while Kristin and I went down to the beach to take a walk. We saw so many shells and crabs that we had never seen before. We also got to see the beautiful Florida sunset. It was a nice evening.

We ended the evening by watching the basketball finals and eating some great pizza.

Off to a new place tomorrow....
