    ... the time we had finished shopping, there were 2 police cars, a fire truck and an ambulance in attendance.

    It did rain again last night but it cleared up before we awoke. We went to breakfast and then to a grocery store for a few things we needed. The Walmart we parked at was a 24 hour store but it was dead! There was, however, a large grocery store about a block away was called Meijer that was packed! We decided to check it out.     ... in Michigan where his dad had grown up. He lied and told us he was visiting a friend out there. I later found out that he didn't really have any direction and he was just trying to leave the city for a few days. I had a sense that things were pretty heavy for him, but I didn't pry.     ... you read a certain number of books over a four-year period -- awards a "degree" and the opportunity to participate in a commencement ceremony. Very ornate and very, very traditional.
