    ... to be on the inflatable. I’m sure it has nothing to do with the fact that it’s near a plug and she’s watching Pretty Little Liars on her iPhone. I’ll get to sleep with my wife, but there is a yearning for my own bed that gets stronger every day on the road.

    Miscellaneous Travel Trip #4 might be to get more clamps of figure out something else for Matt to sleep in. Suggestions are welcome :-)

    ... as I was pacing them. After a bit, they asked if I wanted a ride to Montrose. The thought of skipping 4 days of biking through farmland, drinking muddy water, and getting into the canyon was irresistible. We loaded up and took off.     ... the two mountain ranges, so when it finally eroded enough to expose the gneiss and schist it had no other channel to take. I was fascinated as you can probably tell. My favorite part of teaching Earth Science was Geology.

    ... on the way to the park. We followed the rim, stopping to take pictures where there were overlooks, for about 20 miles until the road took off across country. We finally arrived at the road to the National Park, North Rim Road after about 42 miles. The road back to the Rim Road was another 11 miles but only the first 5 miles were paved.     ... tempted us with a #1 TripAdvisor rating so, of course, it was our travel planner duty to test the rating. Scott had a double scoop waffle cone that he says warranted its own zip cone - scoop #1 was cookie dough and scoop #2 was caramel swirl. I had the Oreo Lover's sundae that was also incredelicious and almost required a wheelbarrow to transport back to our room.
