... as I was pacing them. After a bit, they asked if I wanted a ride to Montrose. The thought of skipping 4 days of biking through farmland, drinking muddy water, and getting into the canyon was irresistible. We loaded up and took off. They wanted to go up to Grand Junction, which was totally in the opposite direction. When I'm biking, I see cars as time machines. What will take me 4 days, takes a car a couple hours. So it didn't really matter what round about way we took... I was ...

... full moon. It was a satisfying day.

Larry and Kathy had made it to Telluride the night before and we need to get there at a reasonable time today so we can see the place with them. Will go to Walmart tonight to restock...in this area you never know when you will find another one. Yesterday we shopped a little store in Ouray and a half gallon of OJ was $6.98. We didn't have to buy OJ, just noticed. But on the plus side they are fortunate to have the store as ...

... on campsite number 16. Once we had the tent up, we decided that we had plenty of time to do a small hike. We decided on the Rim Rock Trail since the trailhead was at the edge of the campground. We picked up the trail guide and started our way down the trail. After two or three markers we were really able to see the canyon. We read that it was called “black” because of its steepness which makes it difficult for sunlight to penetrate very far ...
