So it's been torrential rain since we arrived and bloody cold, which has just made us shop and eat more! We left the Green Mountains in Vermont and headed towards Portsmouth in New Hampshire on the east coast just below Maine. The next morning it was time to find a place to shower. After being successful at UNB we decided that maybe Universities were a good place to check for cheaper or free showers. The University of Maine has a Bangor campus so we checked it out and they offered a free day pass for first timers. Oops! Wanted to start my entry for the return trip from Maine, but accidentally overwrote the entry on Boston! I'll summarize quickly and move on. Got into Boston Back Bay station around 4:30. Lugged our bags through Copley square to the green line, only to find it in the midst of rush hour, with many of the trains too full to accommodate all of our bags, but eventually we found a D - Riverside train with a small amount of space and rode it to ...
Folks back home most often ask what we miss most about land and the answer is always an easy one, THEM! During our two week visit back to New England we were able to meet up with some of our family and friends. The unfortunate thing is that we were not able to meet up with everyone we wanted to see. However, we were able to enjoy the time with the ones we did and will cherish them.
