After the walk we drove to the campground and had a look around then slowly made our way to the paignton beach where we cooked dinner on the campfire oven. We chilled out there for a while and had a red fox come say hello while we were eating dinner. He just appeared over ...

Our first day of paddling began by paddling straight into the wind toward Grandmother's Bay. We ended up renting two canoes and a kayak and I took the kayak the first day. Because of the wind, the waves were quite high so I got a bit wet. Once we were in Grandmother's Bay paddling was a bit easier. Navigating with the maps turned out to be easy so we were able to find the first portage with no trouble. This portage was about 400 m. ...
