After dinner we went for a walk along the beach but got over all the Mosquitos biting us so we made it a short one. We walked for a while around the lake before heading back. We saw plenty of bear and wolf poos along the way, very exciting! We then drove into town to cook breakfast in the park. Yummy eggs on toast. On the way in we saw an amazing blue heron posing for us in a small river. ...

Our first day of paddling began by paddling straight into the wind toward Grandmother's Bay. We ended up renting two canoes and a kayak and I took the kayak the first day. Because of the wind, the waves were quite high so I got a bit wet. Once we were in Grandmother's Bay paddling was a bit easier. Navigating with the maps turned out to be easy so we were able to find the first portage with no trouble. This portage was about 400 m. ...
